Graffiatto: Chef Mike Isabella’s first restaurant opens in Chinatown on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Dinner service begins @ 5 pm and lunch service will follow in the coming weeks. Expect traditional Italian fare reminiscent of the bistros Chef Isabella grew up on in Jersey.
The food truck revolution continues: Freixenet is taking their piece of the pie with the launch of the Freixenet Tastings & Tapas Truck tour. The truck will make a few pit stops in the District to share sparkling wine, tapas and games to play for Freixenet prizes. The Jewish Daily Forward has debuted a new series “Chosen Chefs” from the site’s Jew and Carrot blog. The series recently highlighted the achievements of Chef Barry Koslow of Tallula Restaurant and EatBar. Chef Koslow has used his Jewish roots and French cooking style to create a unique menu in these Virginia staples. Check out the article here.

The new flavorless mix-in boasts just as much caffeine as the leading energy drinks and zero calories.
