HomeMade Pizza Company opens its doors to Alexandria, VA on September 14, 2010.  The store opens @ 2413 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA.  The pizza spot has taken over the DC area with this being its 3rd new location within the past 2 years.  How it works?  You order your toppings and crust, they make it fresh in the store, you take it home and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes…and you have homemade pizza.  Simple enough and pretty darn tasty if you ask me…

> Zola’s Wine and Kitchen has a list of classes I want to add to my wishlist.  The restaurant has a Burgers and Fries class (September 14, 2010), Preserving class (September 15, 2010) and a Lamb’s class (September 22, 2010), among others, that will be lead by Sous Chef Robbie Meltzer.  Classes range from $55 to $80 per person.  Guests will also recieve 10% off a wine purchase in the shop.
