Where I’m Eating: Marvin’s in the Spring
New season equals new menus. I recently had the opportunity to check out Marvin’s new Spring menu and rounded up five things to try on my next visit. Deets:
1. Bean and Artichoke Salad: I know this sounds like a bore, but it is one of the most flavorful ways to get your veggies in for the day. Country ham and manchego cheese spruce things up.
2. Roasted Beet & Strawberry Salad: It’s the season of the strawberry so indulging in the red seductive fruit is a must. Try this if you are into beets like yours truly.
3. Grilled Salmon: Salmon has become my new go-to fish. Some places make the mistake of overcooking, which Marvin did a good job of not doing. Capers and roasted lemon flavors keep the dish simple, light and refreshing.
4. Potato gnocchi: Probably my favorite of the new additions, the gnocchi is complimented by wild mushrooms and a pea puree.
5. Grilled Sea Bream: After having to Google what exactly Sea Bream was, I quickly learned why Marvin’s added it to the menu. Served with roasted fennel, kale and olives, this fish allows for versatile flavors and textures. I am curious to see if they will expand on other options for this fish.
