Bourbon
Bourbon lovers will truly appreciate a place like, well, Bourbon. Bourbon is housed in the Glover Park neighborhood and is truly a haven for the Bourbon conneseuir. The selection includes rare finds such as 15 year old Pappy Van Winkle, Old Rip Van Winkle and Pappy Old Fitzgerald. The smooth, subtle notes of fruit were found in the flights of Bourbon on this summer evening.
With a birthday looming it was only right to indulge in the rarest of the top shelf selection at Bourbon. Bring on the 10 Year Weller Centennial! Vanilla spiced with taste notes of butterscotch make this one of the best Bourbons I tasted for the night. Taking a brief break in my Bourbon flight allowed me to try out the menu at Bourbon. It was delightfully surprising to find that the restaurant does a pretty good job with bites to help you soak up all the whiskey. Stick with the crab cake sliders and crispy shallots, which offer healthy portions for the price.
Bourbon invites the consumer in for a night of rare finds and distinguished flavors. Coming from the family that more recently produced Jack Rose, it is hard not to believe that they would have the best whiskey around these parts…
