#TBT to JKGF Getting a Taste of the Newly Opened Vieux Carre

JKGF helped celebrate the opening of newbie, Vieux Carre, a New Orleans themed cocktail bar located at 1413 K Street NW. Here’s glimpse into our first look at the place that is sure to take DC Mardi Gras celebrations to the next level.

What to order? The Bywater equals you will not need to order more than two drinks (*depending on your tolerance). The strength found in this mix of Aged rum and Green Chartreuse will make you instantly grow hairs on your chest. The Hurricane was not what we expected where it reminded us of a Big Gulp slushy rather than the beloved New Orleans staple cocktail.

Happy Hour is the time to visit: $9.09 cocktails and $2 off beer and wine (5 pm-7:30 pm)

The Best Thing About This Place: This is going to be the new birthday party, happy hour and/or random gathering space. The wrought iron railings make the New Orleans theme believable alongside the extensive craft cocktail list because we all know New Orleans is serious about its cocktails.
