B Penn Quarter Sticky Buns

Sticky buns and bacon are the initial thoughts that come to mind when I think about B Penn Quarter (formerly Plan B Burger Bar).  Peppercorn dipped bacon and sticky buns draped in powdered sugar and strawberries are the stars of the show at this new brunch.  The brunch is so new, the menu is not even up on the website, which is why JKGF is your valued resource today.  With a reasonably priced, American style menu featuring comfort brunch dishes, B’s new additions give you a reason to trek down to Penn Quarter on a weekend.  The neighborhood is typically devoid of attention on the weekends due to the fact that it is mostly a business versus residential district.  B changes that outlook.  Add restaurant district to that resume.

The rustic, trendy decor makes it visually appealing while you nosh on Benedict’s and their acclaimed crab cakes (one of the most ordered dishes by patrons).  The most interesting part of the brunch is the drink selection.  Obviously, bottomless mimosa’s make the list of options but B has tossed the usual Bloody Mary companion and added a bottomless bourbon sour to the menu.  Now that is a way to start a Funday!  For bourbon lovers, this is your brunch.  For sweets lovers, these are your sticky buns.  For everyone else, you will find something on the menu.  American style comfort food equals endless possibilities.
