The New Power Lunch Spot
For all the years I have been in D.C., K Street has been the central location for the “power lunch”. Looks like there is a new sheriff in town, however, with I Street taking its piece of the pie. I visited I Street newcomer, Pennsylvania 6, for lunch and it felt like a CBC class reunion. Business suits and power lunching to the max all around these parts. The great thing about Pennsylvania 6’s lunch that will keep the crowd growing are the familiar dishes that make up the menu. Keeping in line with their dinner menu, the Louisiana Oysters made the cut and for good reason. Light and crispy fried, these will win over any client you are trying to impress who likes oysters.
I will not bore you with the rest of the things I nibbled on because we know all to well that menus constantly change. The lobster roll, however, is worth the honorable mention. Mayo was present but did not dominate the lobster, which is necessary for the New England classic to shine. Power lunchers looks like you have a new territory to conquer. Save yourself some time and skip the K Street traffic.
