Drinks on Me: Earls Kitchen & Bar Bees Knees
Earls Kitchen + Bar is slated to open in mid-October in Tysons Corner Center. The Vancouver based restaurant group has opened over 64 restaurants in North America in its over 33 years in business. Sounds like this new venture in the area is bound to be a success. I had the opportunity to try out some of the new cocktails that will make the cut this October and I am here to report happy hour at Tysons could become a real thing. Under the direction of Beverage Director Cameron Bogue, a Portland native recruited from Daniel Boulud’s Restaurant Group in 2011, Earl’s cocktail menu has an eclectic mix of flavors and presentation styles. I was especially impressed with how unique these cocktails were for a “chain restaurant”. Cameron heads up the entire program for the 64 restaurants and does not flake on giving quality recommendations for the beverage program. My favorite is the Bees Knees and I had to share the recipe. Cheers to the new kid on the block and Fall cocktails!
