I love this place and do not spend enough time here. A cozy spot tucked in the absolute center of the Golden Triangle in this city, Mari Vanna is a diamond in the rough. The bar is small and intimate so getting there before the crowd is suggested. The dining room takes over two levels that make you feel like you are in some ones home versus a public dining space. Not having visited Russia or ever having Russian cuisine out of anyone’s kitchen, I cannot honestly vouch for the fare’s authenticity. I can vouch that I like what they are prepping back there and the Pierogi’s are addictive especially after a few happy hour cocktails. Visit for happy hour and guests are offered $5 infused vodka shots (see their full list here). Weekend brunch gets better with two complimentary Mimosa’s per guest. Cheers!
