1.  The Carolina Kitchen is celebrating Halloween this year with a Monster Mash party on Thursday, October 31st. Guests are invited to eat, drink and be scary while indulging in spooky drink specials, such as the Scary Carrie Cocktail or the Devil’s Sangria. A selection of appetizers includingFrankenburgers, Creepy Tots, Vampire Bat Wings, and Piranha Bites will also be available to enjoy all night long. Those seeking something sweet can choose from a variety of themed treats, such asBlack & Orange Halloween Cupcakes or homemade Boo Pudding. The featured menu specials are priced from $4 to $7. Additionally, guests are encouraged to come in their best costume for a chance to win a $100 cash prize.

2. Clifton, Va. restaurant Trummer’s On Main is donning the spooky spirit of October as it presents “Ghosting Inn” for one night of dangerous dining. On October 20th, the restaurant’s glass-enclosed Winter Garden dining room will be the scene of the crime as theater troupe Entrée Act sets up an elaborate murder mysteryorchestrated by an unbeknownst guest.  The fun will be accompanied by three courses of creative Trummer’s fare from Executive Chef Austin Fausett, including the grimly named dish “In the Kitchen with a Cleaver.  The dinner is $70 with the show, not including tax and gratuity or beverages. 3.  Wildfire at Tysons Galleria will host a Kid’s Pumpkin Carving Class on Saturday, October 26 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Parents and children will enjoy a hands-on pumpkin carving session led by Wildfire Executive Chef Eddie Ishaq and WUSA9 Reporter Jessica Doyle and her daughter.  All participants will take home their creations along with a goody bag.  The event costs $15 per child, plus tax and gratuity.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Food for Others (www.foodforothers.org), which distributes free food directly to people in need in Northern Virginia. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Amanda or Erika at (703) 442-9110.

4. Policy Restaurant & Lounge hosts “Nightmare On 14th St”. The party will take place on Halloween Night, Thursday October 31, 2013 from 9pm-Close. Costumes are highly recommended, as there will be prizes for the best ones throughout the night.  The restaurant will feature drink specials,  party jams, new & old, along with classic Halloween hits.

5.  Twerk or Treat with BYT on October 26, 2013 @ The Sphinx Club from 8:30 pm-1:30 am.  Get tickets here.

6.  The Spirit of Washington hosts its annual Boo Cruise.  On Saturday, October 26, 9:30 p.m. to 12:05 a.m. (boarding begins at 9:00 p.m, guests 21 and over are invited aboard to indulge in hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar all night long.  Halloween costumes are encouraged as the best costume will win 4 free tickets on the Spirit of Washington during the costume contest by the end of the night.  Price is $44.90 per person, not including taxes and fees.  Call 800.250.3897 or visit Spirit of Washington online  for more information and reservations.
