Bottomless This Weekend
Agora with its “Bottomless Brunch”, is one of the best deals in the District. After sitting through two hours of the bottomless options, I can attest that they practice what they preach. I literally was able to order everything my stomach could fit into it, which was over 70% of the brunch menu. The mimosas kept coming and I kept eating…this was my kind of Saturday. I would love to tell you what to try and what not to try but I think I’ll leave this one up to you. I’ll just say that this is a brunch you should try in D.C. where you get a true bang for your buck. Situated in the heart of Dupont Circle at 1527 17th Street, NW, 20036, the restaurant offers authentic Turkish and Greek cuisine. The endless brunch menu is served on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (the last seating is at 2:30 p.m.), and is complemented by a bottomless supply of featured cocktails such as the Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Guests are invited to order multiple servings for up to two hours of any of the featured Mediterranean-inspired dishes for an all-inclusive price of $32.99 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and Bottomless Brunch must be ordered for the entire table.
The menu features a selection of Salads & Spreads, Cheese & Cure, Cold Mezze, Egg Dishes, flatbread as well as Sandwiches, Sweets & Soup dishes. The pre-fixed brunch menu includes Htipiti, roasted peppers, feta, thyme and olive oil; Beet and Orange Salad with red beets, lemon mashed potatoes, oranges, fresh thyme, onion and orange blossom vinaigrette; French Toast, Challah bread dipped with egg-batter dusted with powdered sugar served with maple syrup; Borulce Fasulye, black-eyed peas tossed with Swiss chard, olive oil, lemon juice and topped with fried shallots, as well as Cilbir, two farm fresh poached eggs topped with yogurt, sumac and spicy oil. Brunch offerings can also be ordered a la carte for a light bite for those with smaller appetites and prices range from $4.50 to $9.50 for featured dishes.
