Sweet Potato Tater Tots
Don’t judge me but I rarely go to the movies anymore. With Netflix, Netstream, Net-everything, I can catch what I need to online without the ridiculous movie prices. Recently, however, I could not stand it anymore, I needed to see that oversized screen and breath in extra buttery popcorn so I headed to my favorite theater in D.C., E Street Cinema, for a night at the movies. Apparently, over-greased buttery popcorn has retired and been replaced with artisan cheese plates, sweet potato tater tots and an extensive wine/beer list for movie goers. Visiting E Street Cinema has totally spoiled me and I do not know how I’ll return to a movie theater with stale popcorn, rubber hot dogs and mediocre movies. On this particular night, I got a look at The Oranges (*I recommend for anyone who wants a few good laughs) and it could not have been better when paired with crispy sweet potato tater tots and sour cream. Yum.
