It Seems As Though Another Snack Has Been Discovered…
Canadian-based Lesley Stowe’s Raincoast Crisps come in 6 diverse flavors: Original, Cinnamon Raisin, Salty Date & Almond, Fig & Olive, Cranberry Hazelnut, and Rosemary Raisin Pecan. Each crisp is the perfect accompaniment to cheese spreads, pates, antipasto, and any other topping you can think of that pairs well with each flavor.

The flavor of each crisp is simple yet delicious, understated, and not too salty. They have an overall whole-grain type feel to them, and manage to simultaneously maintain the crispiness of the bread and the chewiness of the prominent ingredients. Out of all 6 flavors, Cinnamon Raisin is definitely my favorite.
In addition to crisps, the Lesley Stowe Raincoast brand also makes cookies that come in three different flavors: apricot, ginger, & slivered almond, dark chocolate, tart cherry, and pecan, and dried cranberry and toasted hazelnut. The cookies are only available in Canada, but the crisps can be found in any Whole Foods market here in the metropolitan area. So the next time you venture into a Whole Foods, be on the lookout for them and pick up a box. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed.
