First Look: Del Frisco’s Grille
There are few reasons I would trek down shadeless Pennsylvania Avenue in 96 degree weather, but when I got word of Del Frisco’s Grille, a new restaurant and bar, set to debut in downtown DC at 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, I rushed right over.
The restaurant is slated to open on Saturday, July 14 and I got a first look at the 107-seat outdoor patio space this afternoon. The large picture windows open to a refreshing look on Pennsylvania Avenue with Cabana style seating slated to line the outermost portion of the outdoor patio.
DC veteran, Executive Chef Rob Klink will lead the pack in the kitchen. Both dinner and lunch menus feature selections of appetizers, flat-breads, salads, selections from the sea, two-fisted sandwiches and “knife and fork” entrees, as well as hand-cut prime steaks and shareable sides.
On tap, guests can look forward to a mix of local beers and some of The Grille’s signature shots, including the Honey Badger, a blend of Tuaca and pineapple.
The restaurant will have more than 400 wine selections featuring a mix of old and new world wineries from top growing regions and many lesser-known vineyards. The wall of wine will mesmerize guests with nearly 5,000 bottles filling the wall.
*Hours: Frisco’s Grille will be open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 3:00pm and for dinner from Monday through Thursday from 5-11pm, Friday and Saturday from 5pm-Midnight and on Sunday from 4-9:30pm. The bar will remain open for extended hours each day – Monday through Friday from 11:30am-Midnight, Saturday from 4:00pm to 1:00am and Sunday from 4:00-11:00pm.
