Bazin’s on Church
Whenever I’m invited across the bridge, I usually jump at the opportunity since it forces me outside of my comfort zones in the District. Names like Vienna, Falls Church and McLean tend to scare me only because this translates to my ears “a whole lot of traffic and you will not know where you’re going”. I like the fact that they chose not to pigeon hole themselves and are having fun with the seasonal and local ingredients in the area. With everything from BBQ grilled Maine scallops to wasabi mashed potatoes, the restaurant is taking a delectable spin on American classics. The happy hour is a bit of a hike for a District dweller but the dinner selections offer a reason to make it worth a drive down 395…
