Etiquette Tuesday: Don’t Touch
I chuckled when I remembered this week’s Etiquette Tuesday post. One of my loyal readers recently visited a lounge with a few friends and everyone ordered their food. Two friends showed up a little later than everyone else and naturally joined the table with hugs, kisses, smiles and the like. The problem happened here: The food had already been served so everyone was enjoying their dishes. One of the people that showed up late reached over and took some of calamari off of my loyal readers plate without asking for permission (*and with the use of their finger tips…eww).
Now here is the problem with this: 1. the food intruder late friend had just come in off the dirty, fifthly streets without even the swipe of some good hand sanitizer; 2. Why would you assume the food is for everyone? Even if you did make this assumption, wouldn’t you still ask before sticking your dirty fingers in the pile? Folks, the lesson here is ask before you touch. Unless this is your significant other or someone who you are accustomed to engaging in this type of behavior with, ask before you reach for the mozzarella stick. That simple.

Oh my gosh, I would have been so angry! And of course, because I’m a big wuss, I wouldn’t have said a word. This made me laugh — thank you!
LoL! Yeah, I really do not know how I would have reacted…but I know I would be disturbed.
Been there! STILL pissed.
@L. Denise, lol, this is one of those situations that does stay with you.
