Nothing spoils my senses more than bad food and bad wine. This might seem like a problem that you would not often run into but it is all too common in the cuisine world. Recently I visited a restaurant where I ordered a glass of red and the bottle had clearly been purchased from CVS and opened in 1982. Smh (*Translation: Shaking my head). In this day and age, knowing when a bottle of wine has gone bad should be part of the basic training for bartenders. Having a pristine wine selection can keep you in business just as long as having the best homemade pasta. This Etiquette Tuesday goes out to the neophytes of this wine game…learn before you serve. Putting a little care and knowledge into your wine knowledge can be just as pivotal in a dining experience as carrying a beautiful smile on your face.
